Follow-up update - 2023-08-21

So, I've got my laptop working again, but I'm moving the development to be done on my more powerful and reliable desktop computer (which, funny enough, the motherboard in that system is from MSI, which is the same company that is responsible for the laptop I use, an MSI Prestige 14 Evo A11M-629, which mine was overheating when I left it in sleep mode on the charger), but, there's  one thing about this going forward. A result of this may be that development on Steel OS 3 and future releases (the only one I've got in the planning books is a project codenamed "Mirai", expected to succeed Steel OS 3) may be slower-paced going into the future, as I won't be able to pull out a 14/15-inch traditional notebook computer (as the model I have, despite being built in late 2021, is more of a traditional system, as it has an LCD display instead of a touchscreen and cannot be folded into a tablet, doing so will probably break it, because the hinge doesn't go out beyond 180 degrees) designed for business use (and even still, there's the weeb/gamer/coder guy who uses the laptop for personal use, I mean for one thing it was labelled as a business/productivity system but the Windows copy installed was of the Home skew). It's not like it matters too much, since I was going to scale back my use of this laptop for school going into the next school year (I'm still on break), and I've been told to use the laptops provided by my school (they switched "vendors", thus everything has changed with that stuff and I also was told, "school use for the school laptop ONLY").

So, I've got the issue with my laptop resolved now, but Steel OS development will be done on my desktop computer. Meanwhile, I'll be filling in what's changing in Steel OS 3 RC 1: So, first of all, it's all just adding final touches for features, but I've also decided to add a lot more of programs to be available on the final release (also, despite my initial plans of a CAD program for Steel OS 3, known as InspireCAD, I won't make such a program available on Steel OS for now, because I need to figure out, "How do I make a CAD program that'll work properly without being terribly buggy on an operating environment that can't have both a web browser and a text editor open at the same time?? ^_^", some other planned programs may not be added, but don't worry, I'll still try to add the beatboxing program my uncle wanted me to make, complete with actual beatbox samples made by my voice). I'll also start to make more websites final (some sites seen in Beta 2 will not be in the final release, as basically, I'm more concerned about getting the SPEAR protocol off the ground than making it a fully-fledged web for Steel OS).

So, yeah. Just some updates on Steel OS and how things have been going. I won't go too in-depth about school hardware, because my personal life still has to remain separate from my online life.
