Steel OS 3.1 January Beta is here!

That's right, I'm going to try to do a monthly beta. After who knows how long, I've started development on a new Steel OS version. Towards the end of the month, I'll release a new beta build under the "Preview" channel.

Aesthetically, it is nearly identical to Steel OS 3 FPR/RTM, with only stock program window controls changing, as well as the main menu skin and crash screen. I also changed the startup screen, but it's now a bit of a mess. No bugs have been patched yet, but I haven't forgotten.

I also tested it on Windows 7, and, kinda surprisingly, it still works! My test bench ran it a little slow, but it works! I honestly expected this despite Chromium not supporting 7 and 8.1 anymore, since it worked just a little bit ago, but for now it still works. Thankfully. I don't want to submit to the corporate overlords.

Alright, time to retreat into my "eternal" slumber again!
